“Growing Islands,” by the Self-Assembly Lab, now showing at the MIT Museum

As sea levels rise and waves erode beaches, we can choose to fight against nature – or work with it. The Self-Assembly Lab at MIT is working with Invena, an organization in the low-lying island nation of the Maldives, on “Growing Islands,” a model for climate change response aimed at protecting the world’s coasts and coastal populations. Now on show at the MIT Museum.
