About

Design for Future Challenges

Course 4.110: Design Across Scales is built around the contributions of guest speakers from across the design disciplines—architecture, materials, computational systems, cities, landscapes...

This conversation, open to the wider MIT community, features four special guests exploring how to design for future challenges. Holly Jean Buck, a writer and Assistant Professor, is the author of After Geoengineering: Climate Tragedy, Repair and Restoration. Susan Hockfield is the President Emerita of MIT and Professor of Neuroscience. John Cary and Llisa Demetrios are respectively president and chief curator of the Eames Institute for Infinite Curiosity.
