Pria Sawhney is an undergraduate at MIT pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering, with a concentration in medical device design. She seeks to work at the intersection of materials, design, and biological systems. Pria has conducted research with the Self Assembly Lab and the MIT Media Lab's Critical Matter group. She currently researches biohybrid robotics at the Raman Lab in the department of Mechanical Engineering. Pria spent two years as a director of fabrication for MIT Gala, MIT's student run fashion show. She is now the co-director of MIT Gala's board, seeking to strengthen MIT's connection to art and design.
