Practical Information

Who can use the N52 Shops?

The N52 MAD fabrication shop is open to the MIT community (students, faculty, and staff) after completing a general orientation.

A training calendar will be available shortly.

Where are you located?

We are located on the 3rd floor of Building N52.

What are your hours?

Our operating hours can be found on this calendar. Students taking classes in the MIT MAD space and members of the DesignPlus First-Year Learning Community have 24/7 access.

How do I get access?

Sign up for a general orientation (link coming soon), and then come in during open hours. Specific machines require additional training.

Do you provide materials?

We have some scrap materials, but users should generally plan to bring their own materials.
