Yscaira Jimenez

Systems change innovator, investor, entrepreneur, lecturer

Bio

Yscaira Jimenez is a systems change innovator, investor and entrepreneur at the intersection of education and work. She splits her time between helping learners and earners reach their full potential, coaching entrepreneurs, and investing in promising early stage ventures.

Her most recent entrepreneurial endeavor was as founder and CEO of LaborX, the LinkedIn for the LinkedOut, where she was linking people who are currently linked out of the knowledge economy to good jobs. As a talent marketplace, LaborX connected hiring managers to vocational, boot camp, apprenticeship and community college graduates using predictive skill analytics and 3d resumes. Many of the programs we sourced from support diverse demographics such as opportunity youth, veterans, and immigrants who have the skills but lack the networks to connect to good jobs. LaborX believes in a world where everyone can contribute their skills and potential to the workforce, regardless of pedigree or social capital. LaborX was acquired by Opportunity at Work in early 2021. Yscaira became Chief Innovation Officer there and is now a senior advisor.

Since exiting LaborX, Yscaira has been lecturing on Systems Change at MIT and supporting systems change initiatives across various organizations by catalyzing investment and innovation to increase entrepreneurship and quality jobs for underinvested people.
