ZAMBANA, ITALY
REDESIGNING SMART VILLAGES

The goal of this studio is to redesign Zambana Vecchia as an iconic
“eco-village”. We will leverage cutting edge design and technology
to foster efficiency and sustainability while simultaneously promoting
deep connections between people and the environment.
This multidisciplinary project takes a holistic approach to green design,
integrating urban planning, sustainable architecture, renewable energy,
smart landscape, transportation, and the poetics of daily life to create a
vision of ecological sustainability.
Students will work in multidisciplinary team and and will create scenarios
to redesign Zambana.

The course is taught within Design without Boundaries MAS.967
