The partnership between The Design Lab and BNP Paribas Cardif is a means to engage new research and design methodologies to shape the future of the insurance experience. We are interested in fundamental problems - what does it mean to be “insured”, why is the insurance experience universally recognized as painful, and how can insurance be designed to be more empathic to user needs.
Using research and design methods rooted in human-centered design principles and disruptive design thinking, our approach combines social research methods with technology centered product innovation. Design innovation thus, is located within a framework that considers emerging consumer trends, technology trends and vertical specific trends, paired with a deep understanding of human-centered design principles.
This partnership explores opportunities for innovation in insurance experience to provide strategic research, concepts and prototypes that produce an actionable vision for insurance in the near future.
