CONNECTING PITTI IMMAGINE
Redesigning fashion trade shows
Communication and networking trough ICT

Pitti Immagine fashion tradeshows, Florence, Italy is a multifaceted
event; for a very short period of time people gather to scout for
commercial opportunities, trends and ideas.
The trade show is an ecosystem composed by the location, booths
stands, walking path, badge, turnstile, signals, registration desk, but
also the city and the people attending the side events.
These elements create an ecosystem and they should actively co-
operate instead of functioning independently. By embedding
electronics and designing appropriate applications for the system,
we aim to improve the trade show system providing a better
experience to attendees.
The goal of the workshop is to creatively imagine and design the
location and technologies that will improve connections between
people, ideas, vplaces and business.
Students will work in multidisciplinary teams and will create scenarios
to redesign connections, services and spaces for the Pitti Immagine
fashion trade show.

The course is taught within Design without Boundaries MAS.967
In collaboration with Pitti Immagine.
